How do you find the distance travelled from a speed-time graph?

The distance travelled equals the area between the line and the time axis. For constant speed this area is a rectangle (distance = speed × time); for constant acceleration from rest it is a triangle; for constant acceleration from a non-zero starting speed it is a trapezium, found using the appropriate area formula.
