General properties of waves — Recall
Question
Question
What equation links wave speed, frequency and wavelength, and how is it used?
Answer
Wave speed v = f × λ, where v is in m/s, f is frequency in Hz, and λ is wavelength in m. Given any two quantities, the equation can be rearranged to find the third, e.g. f = v/λ or λ = v/f.
