An image can be enlarged (bigger than the object), the same size, or diminished (smaller than the object); upright (same way up as the object) or inverted (upside down); and real (formed where light rays actually meet and can be projected on a screen) or virtual (formed where light rays only appear to come from and cannot be projected on a screen).
