What are the traditional seven colours of the visible spectrum, in order of frequency and in order of wavelength?

In order of increasing frequency (decreasing wavelength): red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet. In order of increasing wavelength (decreasing frequency), the order is reversed: violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange, red.
