Simple phenomena of magnetism — Describe

Question
Question

What is induced magnetism?

Answer

Induced magnetism occurs when an unmagnetised magnetic material is placed near or touching a magnet, causing it to become temporarily magnetised itself. The pole induced nearest to the magnet is always the opposite type, which is why a magnet always attracts (never repels) an unmagnetised magnetic material. The induced magnetism is lost (partly or fully) once the magnet is removed.
