Circuit diagrams and circuit components — Draw
Question
Question
Draw the circuit symbols for a diode and a light-emitting diode (LED), and describe how each behaves in a circuit.
Answer
Both are shown as a triangle pointing towards a bar, with current able to flow only in the direction the triangle points (forward bias); in reverse bias, they block current flow. The LED symbol has two arrows pointing away from it, showing that it emits light when a current flows through it in the forward direction.
