Series and parallel circuits — Know

Question
Question

How do you construct and use series and parallel circuits?

Answer

In a series circuit, components are connected one after another in a single loop, so the same current flows through every component and the supply voltage is shared (divided) between them. In a parallel circuit, components are connected across separate branches between the same two points, so each branch has the full supply voltage across it, while the total current from the source is shared between the branches.
