Force on a current-carrying conductor — Recall
Question
Question
How do you find the relative directions of force, magnetic field and current for a current-carrying conductor in a magnetic field?
Answer
Use Fleming's left-hand rule: holding the thumb and first two fingers of the left hand mutually at right angles, the First finger points in the direction of the Field, the seCond finger points in the direction of the (conventional) Current, and the thuMb then points in the direction of the force (Motion/thrust) on the conductor.
