Centre of gravity — Describe

Question
Question

How do you find the centre of gravity of an irregularly shaped lamina experimentally?

Answer

Suspend the lamina freely from a pin through a small hole near its edge so it can swing freely, hang a plumb line from the same pin, and mark its position on the lamina once the lamina stops swinging. Repeat from a second hole; the centre of gravity is at the point where the two marked lines cross.
