Centre of gravity — Describe

Question
Question

How does the position of the centre of gravity affect the stability of an object?

Answer

An object is more stable when it has a low centre of gravity and a wide base, since it can be tilted further before the centre of gravity passes beyond the base and causes it to topple. A high centre of gravity and a narrow base make an object less stable and easier to topple.
