Electrostatic / What is it

What is Electrostatic

Electrostatic or Static Electricity is build up of charge occurs in an insulator.

Yes its only happen in insulator because the charge that is build up cant flow since insulator is poor conductor of electricity.

So an object can be

1. neutral charge

no. of proton = no. of electron

2. positively charge

less no. of electron

3. negatively charge

more no. of electron

So how this happen?

How an object become charged??

By Friction, Yes Friction between 2 object,

when 2 object rubbed against each other, one will lose electron to the other

so one lose electron and one gain electron

the one that lose electron becomes  positively charge

and the one that gains electron becomes negatively charge

Important : never say proton moves in any ways because its in the nuclues and will not lose or gain.
